Chin and Cheek Reshaping

The procedure takes about an hour and can be performed using either a local or general anaesthetic. After surgery, your cheeks may be swollen and bruised. This is usually greatest in the first week and initially the implant will feel quite firm. As the swelling subsides, it will soften and appear more natural.

You will be prescribed a course of antibiotics; and should take oral painkillers regularly for at least the first two to four days. It is important to sleep propped up on a few extra pillows for the first two weeks to accelerate your recovery and to reduce swelling and bruising. Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for six weeks.
